Calm before the storm

This past week has kind of been like the calm before the storm.  I’ve just been resting and recuperating from my 3 day stay in the hospital, where I was convinced I was dying, or that there was at least something horribly wrong.  After several bags of fluid, morphine, and a CT scan, it turns out my small intestine was inflamed.  Apparently, it can be caused by eating something contaminated with bacteria, sounds yummy right?  I know that it has made me very conscious of who prepares my food and where it is prepared at.  Big shout out to Dr. William Boling for taking such good care of me while I was in the hospital, and also when I went home and got even sicker.  I know I would have ended up back in the hospital had he not taken the time to check on me, even when he wasn’t on call.  Anyway, it’s about to be crazy the next few weeks, shooting three weddings and working in a few engagement sessions in between.  It’s going to be exhausting, but so much fun.  I have been meaning to post a couple of my favorite photos of my own family that I have taken over the past few weeks.  These kids are growing up so fast, I wish I could slow it down somehow.  They are getting so big, and so smart, it sometimes makes my heart hurt to think about how they won’t be little for much longer.  I had canvas gallery wraps made of these three photos to hang in our living room, and I really love the way they turned out.  I chose these shots because their expressions fit their personalities so perfectly.  It wasn’t something planned, their outfits don’t match.  I just pulled out my camera on random afternoon and took a few shots in our living room.  Sometimes those are the ones I love the most.

Geez, I love these little faces.
